Like any new birth, this little guy's arrival had been anticipated for quite some time. His sweet mom had a rough go during her pregnancy, so ever since he made his entrance into this world, he has continually blessed her and his family with his calm and peaceful presence. After this shoot today, I was so excited to get home to post these adorable images of baby J. He was such a patient and willing model for being only 6 days old, and his mom so willing to let me try out new props and ideas with him. These little wings fit him perfectly, for he has come straight from Heaven and into the arms of an amazing and loving family. Blessings *W* Family. This sweet, little guy's eyes captured my heart during his shoot. Look at those big brown beauties! Although his day didn't turn out as planned...his schedule was a bit off, and when I arrived he was napping, we still had fun playing up and down his grandparent's steps and capturing a bit of his personality for his portfolio. Look for this cutie in future magazines and catalogues...with those eyes alone, I am sure he will go far!

Now, that the first, real snowfall has encompassed us, and is still melting on our driveway, I look back to this beautiful, autumn afternoon a couple of weeks ago, and embrace the mild and crisp weather that the season brought. I always love to shoot families. I love to watch their relationships unfold in front of my lens, and I enjoy the dynamics that make them a family. Shooting this family, in particular, made my heart light. While their playfulness and laughter echoed in the air, it made me happy to know that in a little way, I was a part of their dynamic as well. It made me happy to reflect on memories past, and to see a familiarity in the children that reminded me of my youth. Most importantly, it made me appreciate the certainty of family, and to cherish the closeness that my cousin's family and mine still have as adults. Love you, Cuz (& family!)

It is amazing and so fun for me to see where people's lives have led them, and I am grateful that this shoot gave me that opportunity. This little guy's parents and I have known each other since our childhoods. We went through all of our schooling together, and so, it was truly fitting that we ended up doing this session at our old Elementary school. Such a great time to be back there, reminiscing about school yard fights, games that were played, and our old janitor, Ralph. Too funny. Thanks M & L for the memories, and for sharing your little man with me. This session allowed me to reflect on years past, and more importantly....to hold my childhood close once again. Blessings!

It's so easy to forget how fun it is to play kitties, roll in the leaves, make monster faces, go on rock hunts, climb on tractors, and be a cowboy all in an hour's time! I had so much fun playing and imagining with each of these adorable kids, that I really have to thank them for helping me feel like a child again on this beautiful, fall afternoon.

I love taking pictures of families that are so full of spirit and fun. It's such a good time for me to interact with and observe the love that particular family possesses. It makes it even more special when the family is one of my closest friends. I have known this beautiful Mama ever since she was born, a year after me. Her mom and my mom have been best friends since first grade, so we were automatically girlfriends. I have such vivid memories playing with her in her playhouse, hot tubbing it at her Grandparent's house, and laughing so much that we cried. I look at these images of her and her little family, and feel the love radiating through her eyes. I am so happy that our paths are still intermingled. From playing dolls, to having our own babies....our lives have been so blessed. I love you, sweet M (& your precious family!)

I can remember being 11 just like it was a few days ago. Life at this age is all about finding out who you are...your style, your friends, your kind of music, what kind of person you are, the list could go on and on. I also remember the transition from elementary to middle school. Such a big time in your life where you struggle with wanting to be a young adult, but yet, still wanting to be a little kid, too. My best advice... find your heart, follow it, and never sway from who you are deep inside. This time in life is tough, but if you stay true to who you are, nothing, from peer pressure to clickish groups, can change whom God intended you to be.

This little guy's Grandpa, an amazing, happy soul, passed from this Earth and flew straight on to Heaven yesterday morning. I am honored to have known him most of my life. Even in his dying hours he remained joyful and humorous...the two characteristics that he always possessed. I came across this picture of his grandson, "A," today. It is not only proves to me that this kiddo is surrounded by loving light, but more importantly, a comfort to my heart that his Abuelo will always protect and shine his angelic light down upon his family. It's amazing how life is. I have known this little boy's mama since 1st grade. She was my 1st best friend. Our lives have remained in constant touch, and we are now sharing each other's children with one another. When I look at this little guy I am amazed at how God creates us. He looks identical to her. When I look at this little boy and his mama I see a reflection of characteristics, but more importantly...I see a vision of love that trancends generations.
